Oil Spill

by Regan Devine
Help,Help! This bird is suffocating in oil. Imagine if you were drowning in a puddle of oil in the ocean. Now you know how thousands of animals feel when they are dyeing in oil that we spilled. There was a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. BP is responsible for this spill. On April 20, 2010 the Deepwater Horizon's well broke and has been gushing oil in to the Gulf for three months.  An estimated 210,000 gallons of oil has been spilled into the ocean. That equals 5,000 barrels a day into the ocean. The Gulf and east coast have had a drought of animals and business is bad. There is being a lot done to clean up all the oil. There is a lot of people volunteering to help clean animals. BP has spent millions on the clean up. That is my blog on the oil spill. I encourage you to help clean up.
