Save the Children

Save the children is an organization that helps kids throughout the world. They help kids in the U.S and other countries, to learn how to read and write, or just to have enough food for the day. One of the countries that they are working in now is Ethiopia the people there don’t have food. So many children are starving. They are giving the people and children Plumpy’nut, it is a peanut based paste. It comes in a foil package and it doesn’t have to be refrigerated or use water to activate it. Plumpy’nut has vitamins and minerals in it to help the malnourished children. But they need help from sponsors because there is an estimated 900,000 adults that don’t have enough and 350,000 children.

I love children and I love to be around them and interact with them. They are some of the many precious treasures in our world and it's heartwrenching knowing that malnourished kids arent getting enough food that is healthy to their diet. This is a great organization and I will definetly tell others about so everyone around the world can support this great cause.

I am also in a computer class and I have been blogging as well. Check it out! http://h4terrin93.edublogs.org/

I think this is a great way to help children. I think we should all have the opportunity to have an education, and be able to have something to eat each day.

I am also blogging so check out my blog. http://h4berenice.edublogs.org/
