Make A Wish Foundation

The make a wish foundation is a nonprofit organization that grants wishes to kids with life threatening medical conditions. If kids want to meet someone, be someone, go somewhere, or get something, they can wish for that. People can volunteer or donate money to the organization. Make a Wish started in 1980 when a 7-year-old boy with leukemia, wished to be a police officer. Everyone noticed how happy the little boy was and that it seemed to ease the pain and sadness of his sickness. They decided they wanted to make other children’s wishes come true also.

The make a wish foundation is a great way to get kids with life threatening diseases feel like they are on top of the world. Say they want to hang out with Tracy McGrady. When they are with them they feel like they are a normal kid with a normal life. it also makes them feel like they don't have a disease. This is a great way to get the kids involved with what they want to be when they grow up or who they want to meet. This is great for the kids and the adults they want to meet
