Hurricane Irene tears through East Coast

Hurricane Irene leaves millions without power and over 8,500 in red cross shelters.

Thursday August, 25 2011 Hurricane Irene tore threw the East Coast leaving millions without power. Irene has left thousands home less.  

From North Carolina to New England is flooded, houses have come of their foundations, Rivers have over flowed so much that bridges have floated down the river and washed up on shore.
Organizations like The American Red Cross are helping people that are home less and food less and clearing debris.
