Hurricane Irene happened two weeks ago in the Eastern United States. A tropical Cyclone hit the coast causing devastation along the Eastern States such as New Jersey and New York leaving over one thousand power outages, and taking lives of many people leaving the rest homeless. Schoharie County, Red Cross, and the United States are pitching in time, food, and money to help the homeless. To help we, as a family, can donate canned goods and bottles of water to the people who lost their homes to Hurricane Irene. I feel that if we keep sending and sending food we can send care packages with blankets, toys, and other goods.I also think that we can star a penny drive to raise money or the homeless.
