My favorite part of my story is that people in Wheat Ridge have donated half of the money that they earned to churches and schools. People like these people make are world feel fantastic. These people are showing kids all around the world that people do matter.

Our Goal..
In an effort to help my students recognize the news media tendency toward shock and fear reporting, I have introduced a project to help students look for the good in society. They have created presentations on local, state, national and global incidents of kindness. Next they created a blog post on their favorite example of people doing good things for society. Sometimes we forget about the good people do. How did you find good news? I usually only read about bad news.
